Sharks on the run Wrist Band and Awards

Sharks on the Run will begin on Tuesday, August 26th . Registration will begin on MONDAY, August 11th at 8 AM and will close when the club is at capacity. After August 11th, if you don’t see it in SchoolPay, it is full. ***Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.  To make sure we do not have too many kids in the gym at the same time, we are only allowing 100 runners in K - 2nd and 100 runners in 3rd - 5th.***  It fills up very quickly, so do not delay!!!

SOTR will last the whole year, from August 26th - May 1st

***Registration can be found in School Pay***

  1. The cost is $50.00 for the whole year of SOTR.  Please sign up using SchoolPay. Please make sure you select a t-shirt size for your student when you register.
  2. SOTR will begin the week of August 26th and run through Friday, May 1st.
  3. K, 1st & 2nd grades will run on WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY mornings.
  4. 3rd, 4th & 5th grades will run on TUESDAY and THURSDAY mornings.
  5. The running window is from 7:10 AM-7:35 AM. *** Students need to go to their homerooms first to drop off bookbags and check in with teachers.***  After they have checked in, they can head down to the big gym to begin running.  They may come and go anytime during that time-frame (7:10AM-7:35AM) but we will stop them at 7:35 and send them back to class before the bell rings.
  6. Each runner will be assigned a timing chip- that is how we keep count of their laps.
  7. Students will earn “charms” for running (see photos above).  When they join, they will receive a running shoe charm. These can be worn anywhere!  On their shoe laces, on necklaces, or on a keyring on their backpack. The choice is theirs.
  8. As the miles add up, they will receive different charms.  We have numbers to mark their mileage accomplishments at 10, 20, 30 ,40 , 50… all the way up to 100 miles!  We will also have chances for them to earn seasonal/monthly charms.
  9. Only miles completed during Sharks on the Run and SOTR events will count towards their totals.

Thank you for your support!  Coach Nelson, Coach Vogt and Coach Raicik
